Jeppesen – a subsidiary of Boeing and the leading supplier of navigation charts for commercial aviation – used Swim to help drive a state-of-the-art transition to electronic chart delivery. Swim designed the user interface functionality and look and feel of the FliteDeck Pro Electronic Flight Bag, taking into consideration the considerable legacy of Jeppesen paper chart delivery.
Swim introduced Jeppesen to a user-centered process, involving pilots at Southwest and Continental Airlines (amongst others) in multiple rounds of design iteration. Jeppesen introduced Swim to the world of aviation, and Swim developed considerable content expertise to ensure FliteDeck Pro's ease-of-use for pilots who have little time to invest in learning new systems.
